Stamp Duty Calculator
When you purchase a property in Queensland (and other Australian States)
you have to pay Stamp Duty on the purchase. This is based on the purchase
price of the property and is less for a property bought as your principal
place of residence than it is for property bought for investment.
Stamp Duty is levied by the Commissioner for Stamp Duties and is on
a sliding scale from 1.5% to 3.75% for investment property. For your principal
place of residence it is levied at 1% up to a purchase price of $300,000
and at higher rates on prices over $300,000.
